nov. 2008 - dianova celebrates its 10th anniversary
November 2008 - On November 7th and 8th, more than two hundred delegates from Europe and the Americas reunited at the Rafael Atocha hotel in Madrid for a two-day event, including formal presentations and exchanges, a celebration party and forward planning.
It is not easy to sum up this 10th anniversary event. According to most of the participants, it was primarily a surprising mix of professionalism, creativity and innovation with, in addition, an emotional, solid bond that gathers members and friends of the Dianova network into a similar sense of belonging.
It was also the end of one phase of development and the beginning of another. It was the reminder of a common vision and mission, the reminder of shared values. It was the warm testimonial of those who have accompanied the network’s modernization. It was the election of a new president. It was an anniversary feast. It was a new logo and slogan. It was the joy of reunion.
This Dianova event was finally the opportunity to give sense to an every day commitment. To give sense means to relate the organization to its own past, acknowledging the importance of a common path, a course peppered of mistakes and doubts sometimes, however rich in experiences, always. To give sense means to share our best practices, to realize that what works somewhere else can also be implemented back home.
It was the presentation to the entire network of a large project of a learning and development platform, including an international training center and an educational and leisure facility for the youth. To give sense, finally, was preparing for the future with the presentation of a common strategic vision for 2016.
