portugal - dianova finalist of "manuel antonio mota" award
The Manuel Antonio Mota Foundation selected Dianova in Portugal as one of the ten finalists for the "Manuel Antonio Mota" award among 346 participating organizations.
Dianova presented several projects, including the "Casa Azul" temporary housing project, located in the municipality of Oliveira de Azemeis, and a social reintegration project developed in Torres Vedras, "The Floral Greenhouses". Dianova received a honorary mention, with an endowment of 5,000 Euros, which allows the organization to contest for the final award.
The award, which is sponsored by the Mota Engil renowned Portuguese conglomerate, is a tribute to the corporation's famous chairman and an evocation of the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. The award will support nonprofit organizations operating in Portugal in the field of social solidarity.
